4 Things To Remember Before Designing A Funeral Memorial Template

July 31, 2020 by Jaime

Every year, there are millions of funerals happening all around the world. Organizing a funeral program is an exhaustive process, but on the flip side, we can never plan it in time.

Amidst all the grief that you are experiencing, coming up with the right words to include in your memorial service invitation card is not going to be easy.

Going through the steps involved in designing the perfect card is the last thing you would want to do after a demise.

But, you must provide the chance for everyone who knew and loved the deceased to pay their last respects.

1. Never Forget To Include These

There are no fixed rules when it comes to designing a funeral memorial template. But certain staples should have their place in the invitation.

If you are the host, you can refer to yourself using the last name of your family. One must also include the full name of the deceased along with their residence and his/her date of passing away. The location of the funeral should also have a clear mention.

2. The Proper Wordings To Use

‘In loving memory of’ and ‘Celebrating the life of’ are the two widely used opening statements for a memorial service invitation card.

Keep it as short as possible but make it sound beautiful. Make sure that it never resembles a full-blown article from a newspaper.

You can use calm words such as “peacefully” if the deceased died out of old age and “unexpectedly” to represent a sudden death. Use words that sound positive and uplifting.

3. It Is Okay To Opt For A Quiet Funeral

Starting from the invitation, it is your right to keep certain things private between you and your family. Print a limited number of copies and distribute them only to your close circle.

This way you can get a lot more personal and include elements in your invitation that all your guests can relate to.

You can later arrange a celebration of life event to invite everyone that you missed during the funeral.

4. The Best Ways To Send Your Invitation

Your immediate family and friends would’ve received a phone call from you right after death. But you should still mail them the memorial service invitation card to make things clear for them.

We live in an era where we can send invitations to anywhere in the world with just a tap. Send your cards several days before the event so the people who live far away can figure out a way to reach there.

Conclusion

Design your funeral memorial templates in a way that they have a positive influence over the life of your guests.

Encourage them by stating the obvious and let this event of yours be uplifting. If you put your heart and soul into your design, they might even love to keep it without throwing it away, and it is your job to make it interesting.
