One of the key benefits of planning a whirlwind trip to Uganda is that you’ll be able to spot lions, elephants, hippopotamus, giraffes, buffalo, mountain gorillas, antelopes, and chimpanzees, among other animals. However, some of Uganda’s 10 national parks will give you a better chance of spotting some species of animals over others, so it’s well worth visiting at least 2-3 national parks on your trip.

As an example, if you have your heart set on viewing a pride of lions and a herd of giraffes, you may want to consider booking a safari trip in the Queen Elizabeth National Park. While if you dream of being able to watch a troop of wild chimpanzees play in the jungle treetops you’ll be far better off visiting the Kibale Forest National Park, which offers daily chimpanzee tracking adventures.

  1. Head to Uganda’s awe-inspiring mountains in order to catch a glimpse of a mountain gorilla

If you’d love to spot a majestic mountain gorilla, in its natural environment, you’ll have to head to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, which is home to around half of the mountain gorillas in existence.

Getting an opportunity to see a wild mountain gorilla, is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity as less than 800 mountain gorillas are left in the world and mountains gorillas have sadly become an endangered species which need to be protected.

  1. If you’d love to see hippos frolicking in the water, head to the Murchison Falls National Park

If you want to see why Uganda is often referred to as locals and tourists alike as the pearl of Africa, you’ll be spellbound by Murchison Falls National Park, which features a breathtaking 43-meter waterfall as well as a variety of waterways which attract an abundance of wildlife. Examples of which include hippopotamus, buffalo, and antelope. Who are attracted by the national parks refreshing watering holes.

One of the reasons why Murchison Falls National Park is such a popular tourist spot as that it offers diverse terrain, examples of which include watering holes, forests, and grasslands. Each of which will attract different species of wildlife.

  1. Consider booking a birdwatching tour

While the vast majority of tourists who fly to Uganda are keen to spot chimpanzees, mountain gorillas, and lions, Uganda is also a great location to visit in order to book a birdwatching tour. As most of Uganda’s national parks are home to countless species of birds, many of which boast brightly colored feathers and are well worth photographing on a trip to Uganda.

So if you can’t wait to spot wildlife for yourself and are up for a Uganda adventure, it’s well worth planning a trip of a lifetime to one of Africa’s most exciting travel destinations!

How To Beat Travelling Boredom

June 11, 2018 by Jaime

Travelling the globe is awesome, and the amount of amazing places you can check out is vast. In fact, there are so many great places to see that the hardest part is choosing where to start! One thing you’ll experience when becoming a globetrotter is boredom while moving between places. After all, we’ve all had those long flights or train journeys where the hours seem to stretch on forever!

So, what can you do to beat those dull moments and make every part of your next trip fantastic? The answer is to come up with a few ways to stay amused while on the move.

Say goodbye to those travel blues

If you are planning to check out Los Cabos or stunning Singapore, then it may take a long journey to get there from where you are. Here are some great ways to make the journey itself an exciting part of your holiday.

Talk to people

It can be tempting to do stuff that only involves yourself or your friends when moving around the world. However, you might miss out on meeting new people or finding out local knowledge of where you are headed. The next time you’re on that long flight or train journey, try talking to the person next to you, and you will soon see the hours whizz past.

Sleep

Travelling can be pretty tiring, so fitting in some sleep is always a good idea. It will not only help the transit time pass quicker for you but also re-energize your body so that you’re ready to hit the ground running when you arrive at your destination. After all, your holiday will be more fun if you’re able to dive straight in to enjoy it rather than having to crash at the hotel first.

Play online games

As a modern traveler, you will probably not leave home without your tablet or smartphone. These are amazing sources of entertainment to help keep boredom at bay. One great idea is to play online games that are fun and engaging. Playing casino games is a great way to not only make boredom disappear but also potentially win some spending money for your holiday.

Take some photos

Let’s face it – if you have a lot of fun, then your memories of the trip may be a little hazy! Taking photos while you are traveling can help create a record of the adventure for you to look back on and also help kill off boredom. Airport waiting lounges and shots from car windows can really give some interesting results and help you remember the good times when back home. You don’t even need a separate camera – just use your smartphone if you don’t have any other devices with you.

Have some fun when you are moving around

Whether it is a long trip between countries or a shorter hop between cities, try to have some fun while you’re on the move. If you are planning on making a lot of journeys around the world or one big round-the-globe trip, travel really is worthwhile. Chances are you will be moving around a lot, so it makes sense to ensure every leg of the journey is as enjoyable as possible.

Why Do Travellers Fall In Love With Singapore?

April 30, 2018 by Jaime

Our planet is blessed with many spectacular locations to visit, but few have more attraction for travelers than the incredible city of Singapore.

In fact, many people who visit the city choose to live there. Singapore has a sizeable expat community, including many people who settle there with their partner or their family. That isn’t surprising when you consider the city’s reputation as a family-friendly place to live. Few places on earth combine such an excellent infrastructure with a booming economy and convenient travel links, and for families, the international schools in Singapore are ideal for expat children. At international schools the lessons are conducted in English and they combine high academic standards with cultural diversity that is so valuable to a child’s personal development.

Singapore is perhaps best known for its incredible architecture. The city contains some of the world’s most spectacular buildings. Planners and architects have made the most of the limited building space to produce some truly ingenious and futuristic structures that make the Singapore skyline a must-see for travelers to Asia.

For example, the views from the Sky Deck at the top of the three-tower Marina Bay Sands hotel across the city are simply stunning. Many travelers also enjoy the panoramic views offered by the 63rd story 1-Altitude bar, the highest alfresco bar in the world.

Considering its reputation as a futuristic city, travelers are often surprised by the amount of greenery on display in Singapore; in fact, it has been called ‘The Garden City’. Planners and designers have taken great trouble to incorporate gardens and green areas into the layout and the result is a series of parks, gardens and even jungle walks. Gardens by the Bay, with its pair of huge bio-domes, is a perfect example of how the ingenuity of planners has helped to cleverly combine city and nature.

Travelers who enjoy experiencing diverse cultures love Singapore. It has everything, from Chinatown and Little India areas to Arab Street, where visitors can soak up Middle Eastern Culture. With so many cultures in such a relatively small area, it is a truly vibrant place to visit and is an ideal location for teaching your children about different ways of life.

And then there’s the food! The wide array of cuisines in Singapore make it a gastronome’s delight! Wander through the main tourist area in the Marina Bay district and you will come across restaurants and outlets serving genuine Thai, Chinese, Singapore, Lebanese, Turkish or Indian food. There is a bewildering range of tastes and cooking styles to sample.

Singapore isn’t just a beautiful and fascinating tourist destination; it is also a working city with the infrastructure, transport links and top-quality education opportunities that has led many ex-pats to make it home for themselves and their families. Any trip to Asia is not complete without spending some time in this remarkable city and soaking up its unique combination of futuristic architecture, environmentally friendly lay-out and vibrant culture.
