5 Money Saving Tips for Students Travelers

April 16, 2019 by Jaime

Most students would love to travel and see the world when they have time. However, the cost of making such a trip discourages them and they wait until later in life to fulfil this travelling itch. Travelling as a student has numerous benefits and you shouldn’t forego this opportunity. You are independent and flexible meaning you can go anywhere and have fun. It is even possible to find paper writing help to ensure you enjoy the world with no assignment deadlines hanging over your head.

If you want to see the world when young, look at the following money saving tips and make your dream a reality.

  1. Fix a Budget and Choose A Realistic Itinerary

As a student, you don’t have a lot of money to use and you have to save as much as possible along the way. One of the best ways to survive on the little funds available is by selecting a realistic travel plan. You need to choose destinations and that you can visit on your budget. You should review your financial situation and look for destinations that you can comfortably visit on your budget.

  1. Get A Part-Time Job

A part-time job can help you save enough money during your trip and ensure you have fun everywhere you go. It is fun to make your own money and when you commit it to a plan, it makes the work worthwhile. When travelling, there are multiple job opportunities and you should take any opportunity that comes your way to augment your savings.

  1. Look For Alternative Accommodation Options

If you want to have an easy time financially during your travels, look for affordable accommodation. The best idea is to look for something out of the ordinary options. Hotels are expensive and they shouldn’t feature in your list of accommodation options.

Instead, use cheaper options such as apartment rentals, Airbnb, and other lodging sharing options. There are unique lodging options online and you should take time to explore these when doing your research.

  1. Cut Flight Costs

The biggest concern for student travelers is how to get to their destinations. Flight costs can ruin your budget and you need to find innovative ways to save money. Choose the right time to travel by avoiding holidays and high-travel times, book in advance to take advantage of ticket offers, choose mid-week departures and returns for best price deals and look at alternative airlines to your destination for better ticket prices.

You should also look out for airline co-branded credit cards which come with a huge sign-up offer for new customers which saves you a lot of money. On your smartphone, make sure you have flight price tracking apps including Skyscanner, Kayak, Yapta and Airfare Watchdog for price alerts.

  1. Use Public Transport To Explore

Most of the popular destinations also feature reliable public transport including trains, tram, and buses among other modes. You can save a lot of money by opting for such transport modes to move from one tourist attraction to the other. It also gives you a chance to mingle with locals and experience the destination in style.

To save money when travelling, you need to downgrade, learn to negotiate and find alternative sources of food away from large malls. If you have a business paper, you can get inspiration from your money-saving strategy to come up with a great essay.

August 17, 2018 by Jaime

Hiking works wonders for restoring and rejuvenating one’s health. Walking is a great exercise that not only builds up your muscles but, it’s an act that also nourishes the soul. Hiking trails are in a whole different ball game as compared to hitting the treadmill. Make sure you have a crystal-clear understanding of the hiking terrains before you even consider walking out in the urban concrete jungle that New York is. In the olden days, hikers had to rely on instincts and memory to navigate trails, either within cities or deep in the forests. Hiking in NY can keep you from finding out how much a speeding ticket cost. However, in some cases, individuals get lost. That is why you should have the necessary tools when visiting NY Trails. Also, get to understand the driving age by state to avoid being arrested.

Hiking Apps

Today, hiking has been completely redefined and you’ll never again have to worry about such stresses as getting lost or being mugged as you exercise your body and soul. Thanks to a mouthful of innovative phone apps, you get a golden chance to focus on the nourishing journey up the hills, across the streams, and, down the crowded streets or boulevards in NY City.

These hiking apps allow you to add images and photos of your usual trails for future references. The hiking tracker apps are designed to be compatible with all manner of devices and gadgets. You can, for instance, add the coordinates of a nice restaurant or coffee shop along your trail and then share this out with other hikers and friends. Once the hike is over, you can easily access the application’s database and get a chance to relive the entire adventure all over again. The review map gives you an excellent chance to come up with new fascinating routes.

Review Maps

Some hiking apps allow you to build digital scrapbooks that you can easily email and share with others. If you can find a hiking group on one of these popular social media platforms such as Pinterest and Facebook, then you’ll have tons of fun sharing your unique sharing experiences with others. Having a support group or being in a hiking fraternity helps you to learn a wealth of useful travel tips and pointers such as the safest trail runs and how to speed up finding a traffic school online to maybe renew the DL while you’re visiting NY.

Caution!

Hiking can be dangerous, especially, if you’re a visitor to a new town or city. As a guest, you’ll be unfamiliar with the safe areas to trek at night and about so much pertinent information necessary for a safe hiking experience. Don’t put yourself in the face of danger all because you want to burn a few calories while vacationing in an exotic city. Instead of risking your safety, why don’t you just spare a few bucks and pay for one of the hiking tools on the web for guaranteed hiking experiences?

Stay Hydrated

Asides carrying your smartphones and first making sure that they fully charged, it’s imperative you bring along some drinking water. If your phone bat drains quickly, why not bring a reserve battery too. Water is necessary for hydration purposes. Walking up hills or just in deserted avenues is quite the excruciating and drenching ordeal that leaves the body yearning for plenty of fluids and other nutritious treats. Bring a protein bar along you just in case you reach the summit exhausted and hungry.

Partnering Up

If you happen to be a stranger to the labyrinth of trails defining the NY metropolis, then, you’re better off seeking the company of a local. If you take a few laps around the boulevards, avenues and around the park with a local hiker, you end up learning so much essential information to last you years. Before taking out to the wild NY trails, it’s also highly advisable you have the personal contacts of folks in the hotel you’re putting up, just in case you get lost. If you plan in NY, you’ll also need to learn about the driving age by state requirements as you lease your cars.

How To Beat Travelling Boredom

June 11, 2018 by Jaime

Travelling the globe is awesome, and the amount of amazing places you can check out is vast. In fact, there are so many great places to see that the hardest part is choosing where to start! One thing you’ll experience when becoming a globetrotter is boredom while moving between places. After all, we’ve all had those long flights or train journeys where the hours seem to stretch on forever!

So, what can you do to beat those dull moments and make every part of your next trip fantastic? The answer is to come up with a few ways to stay amused while on the move.

Say goodbye to those travel blues

If you are planning to check out Los Cabos or stunning Singapore, then it may take a long journey to get there from where you are. Here are some great ways to make the journey itself an exciting part of your holiday.

Talk to people

It can be tempting to do stuff that only involves yourself or your friends when moving around the world. However, you might miss out on meeting new people or finding out local knowledge of where you are headed. The next time you’re on that long flight or train journey, try talking to the person next to you, and you will soon see the hours whizz past.

Sleep

Travelling can be pretty tiring, so fitting in some sleep is always a good idea. It will not only help the transit time pass quicker for you but also re-energize your body so that you’re ready to hit the ground running when you arrive at your destination. After all, your holiday will be more fun if you’re able to dive straight in to enjoy it rather than having to crash at the hotel first.

Play online games

As a modern traveler, you will probably not leave home without your tablet or smartphone. These are amazing sources of entertainment to help keep boredom at bay. One great idea is to play online games that are fun and engaging. Playing casino games is a great way to not only make boredom disappear but also potentially win some spending money for your holiday.

Take some photos

Let’s face it – if you have a lot of fun, then your memories of the trip may be a little hazy! Taking photos while you are traveling can help create a record of the adventure for you to look back on and also help kill off boredom. Airport waiting lounges and shots from car windows can really give some interesting results and help you remember the good times when back home. You don’t even need a separate camera – just use your smartphone if you don’t have any other devices with you.

Have some fun when you are moving around

Whether it is a long trip between countries or a shorter hop between cities, try to have some fun while you’re on the move. If you are planning on making a lot of journeys around the world or one big round-the-globe trip, travel really is worthwhile. Chances are you will be moving around a lot, so it makes sense to ensure every leg of the journey is as enjoyable as possible.
