3 Things To Know Before Going To A Travel Industry Trade Show

August 30, 2021 by Jaime

If you’re planning on going to a travel industry trade show as an attendee, this could be a great way for you to get a lot of information about places you’re wanting to visit or activities you’re wanting to try.

Participants to this show spend a lot of time and money unloading their materials at their booth so that they can give you the information you need to make the right choices for your future travel plans. But if you don’t take care of a few things for yourself before coming, you might end up just wasting your time and money without any future payoff.

To help ensure that this doesn’t happen to you, here are three things to know before going to a travel industry trade show.

Do Some Research Before You Go

Before the day of the travel industry trade show that you’re attending, you should spend some time doing a good amount of research.

Not only should you research what booths or offerings are going to be available to you at the trade show, but you should also research which of these places might be of interest to you. Because there are often hundreds of booths at these events, it can be hard to just walk through each one and get all the information you want. So to make the most of your time, try to see where locations or activities at the trade show will be of most interest to you so you can better focus your time and attention.

Know Where You Want To Go And What You Want Out Of Those Trips

While a lot of the research you could do about a travel destination or activity can be completed online, there’s so much more that can be gleaned by speaking to someone who has experience in that area or can help answer some of the specific questions you have.

To make the most of this, you’ll want to know exactly where you want to go and what you want to do so that you can talk to the people at the trade show that will be able to give you the best insights. Then, once you get to these booths, have some specific questions ready or guidance that you’re wanting that will help make planning your travels much easier for you.

Don’t Solely Come To Win Something

One of the great things about these travel industry trade shows is that many of the vendors offer some kind of contest or giveaway where you can get free gear or experiences. And while winning one of these things can be nice, you should plan on going to the trade show for more than just the hope of winning something. So come with expectations to get some great information and have your interest sparked in addition to taking the chance of winning something fun.

If you’re a travel industry trade show happening in your area soon, consider using the tips mentioned above to help you make the most of your time at this event.

Of course, if you’re going to take off for 3-4 weeks, luxury should be on the agenda and we’ve spent a while looking at some of the premier resorts where you can holiday in 2021.

  1. The Maldives – The Maldives simply has to be at the top of our list and what could be better than a luxurious overwater pool villa in The Maldives, with your own chef and barman, who are always ready to create something special. You can book online and we recommend doing this sooner rather than later, as millions of people have a similar plan to you and once you are booked in, you can start to prepare for the holiday of a lifetime.
  2. The Caribbean – The Caribbean islands have long been a favourite for the jet-set, with St Lucia, Antigua and Saint Martin being just a few of the islands with 5-star resorts. Read up on the many islands and you could fly to Miami and take a cruise around the Caribbean, which combines stops at many luxurious destinations with the sheer luxury of the cruise liner.
  3. Ha-Long Bay, Vietnam – This is the go-to beach for the jet set, as Vietnam offers a range of natural environments, including this amazing stretch of beach. Clear blue water and white sandy beaches offer a postcard vista and as you would expect, there are shady areas where you can sit back and drink your favourite cocktail. A Google search will help you to find a 5-star resort and you can combine your time at Ha-Long Bay with the other attractions that Vietnam has to offer the foreign tourist. Here are a few more great beach holiday destinations.
  4. Phuket, Thailand – The jewel of Southeast Asia, Phuket is a very popular retirement destination where you can book a poolside villa for a month and really chill out. Spend an hour surfing the web and you might find a great last-minute deal, or book for later in the year. If your budget stretches that far, charter a luxury yacht and escape the world for a few weeks, with a luxury yacht that is fully crewed and will take you to the best places in the Andaman Sea.
  5. The Algarve, Portugal – The southerly section of Portugal offers a fantastic coastline, with resorts and quaint fishing villages where you can stay at a top resort with everything at your disposal. The Reasons Why Water Brings Out The Best In Us All

August 25, 2021 by Jaime

Have you ever wondered to yourself why it is that when we get any time off at all, we immediately load up the car with the kids and we head off to the nearest beach. For some inexplicable reason we are drawn to the ocean and any time the sun peaks out from behind the clouds, we are off making our way to the closest place that has a large body of water. Scientists say that we ourselves came from the ocean a long time ago and that is why we are drawn to it even today. The fact that we know that there are things in there they can bite us and can sting us doesn’t seem to make any difference at all and when we are going on vacation, we always make sure that there is a swimming pool available or that we can get a room beside the ocean.

Being able to book a hotel room or a villa close to or near the beach is great, but now some establishments have gone one better. It is now possible to be able to book water villas in the Maldives that are actually built out over the ocean and clear blue waters are right at your doorstep. You’re not going to get any closer to the ocean than this and you still have all the modern conveniences that we all want when we go on vacation to relax. There is something about the ocean that we love and it might be because of all the benefits that it offers. The following are just some of those.

* Reduction in stress levels – Nobody can quite explain it, but when we go to the ocean our stress levels immediately begin to fall. It might be the fresh sea air or it might just be the sound of the waves sweeping of the beach. Whatever it is, we love it and we will do anything that we can to experience it. And acting having a villa that is built out into the ocean and you can actually see fish swimming in the water from the comfort of your villa through the floor. Imagine being able to fish off your front porch and to be able to go for a swim and then walked up the steps of your villa to enjoy some fresh fruit and an ice cold beverage. It’s all possible nowadays and this is great news for everyone. You might want to host a party or event in your villa for new friends.

* A chance to exercise – If you have booked a villa that is right on the ocean and it seems a shame that you don’t experience some of the many water sports that are currently available to you. You can go snorkeling or scuba diving and this will allow you to see the beautiful fish and the corals the right beneath your feet. Going on vacation is about relaxation of relaxation can also fall a little bit of exercise is good for your heart and good for your stress levels. To learn more about the various accommodation options, please have a look here.

Maybe it’s time that you started to experience something new and being able to stay in a holiday villa that has the waves from the ocean lapping on your doorstep, is something that everyone should consider at least once in a lifetime.

ATV Tire Size Guide

August 24, 2021 by Jaime

If you’ve been an ATV rider for a long time, you already know that all-terrain vehicle tires are sized differently than those of most other vehicles. You probably just look up your specs, type them into a search engine and buy models that appropriately match. But what does that little trio of numbers mean? This guide breaks down ATV tire sizing and offers smart tips for shopping ATV tires for sale.

Tires have three important dimensions: tire height, tire width and wheel diameter. Nearly every manufacturer lists these values in inches. The largest figure, tire height, is the first of the three-number sequence. The second number is the tire’s width, measured across the tread between the sidewalls while fully inflated. The last number is wheel diameter – the distance across your wheel or rim.

With this sizing breakdown, you may have an easier time while shopping. Let’s look at the STI Roctane tires XD 32x10x14, for instance. This particular tire is 32 inches tall and 10 inches wide, fitting on a wheel with a 14-inch diameter. Once you confirm that you have the right size, you should also look at the tire’s benefits. The STI Roctane XD is an 8-ply tire with non-directional tread, a high wear-resistant compound and a bold tread design that provides superb traction. It’s a high-octane tire for rocky terrain, hence why STI named it “Roctane.”

How To Properly Install Your Tire

After you get your new tires home, you’ll probably need to mount them yourself. You should first remove your old tires from the rims – that’s if you didn’t also buy new ones, of course. Getting your old tires off involves deflating them and busting the bead seals. Once you’re done, you can install your tires by following some important steps:

  • Clean up your wheels’ rim lips completely.
  • Add lubricant onto the beads of your new tires.
  • Mount your new tires onto the rims.
  • Inflate your tires.

If all that sounds too simple, consider this – you’ll also need the proper tools for the job. Your tool collection should include tire irons, a valve stem removal tool, an air compressor and a bead breaking tool. A manual tire changer can help simplify the process. This all-in-one apparatus helps you remove and install tires. You can place each wheel on the changer and perform each task rather than struggle with it when the wheel’s on the ground.

Best Parts for Your DIY Upgrade

Tire upgrades provide the most immediate performance results. The Sedona Ripsaw is another useful example. It’s designed for first-class traction on muddy terrain with key features such as a 1 1/8-inch deep tread pattern with strategic spacing for optimal clean-out. The tread pattern also continues onto the sidewall, wrapping around to boost traction in muddier conditions.

Of course, there are many other upgrades to consider. High-performance maintenance-free batteries offer more robust performance, ideal for extended riding and long trips in the backcountry. Whatever you choose, make sure you purchase your parts at a reputable aftermarket dealer. You’ll get a wide selection, super-quality items and expert service.
