Where to stay in Los Cabos
Relocating to another town or city is usually a huge job, but when you’re talking about Cabo San Lucas, excitement always takes over. This town is located on the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula where it used to be a dry, unwelcoming desert terrain. Today, it has transformed into a warm and friendly tropical destination dotted with elite hotels, lovely villas and of course, stretches of sparkling beaches.Whether you’re looking to move here or a short holiday, staying in the Los Cabos villas will make your stay the best it could possibly be. It is perfect for those who are looking for a way to escape the crowded city life. And if you’re planning permanent relocation, there are many things you’ll love to know while preparing for the move.

Housing
Based on the Migration Policy Institute of the United States, there was a 308% increase in the number of Americans in Los Cabos from 1990 to 2000. Today, this has even increased significantly. Housing activities are being undertaken by both local and American developers who are building condominiums, apartments and other housing units all over town. In fact, American real estate companies in particular are developing whole communities as a way to attract US citizens to move or retire here. Notwithstanding their status with immigration, foreigners in general are allowed by law to purchase real estate properties using their own names. Another piece of good news is real estate in Los Cabos is cheaper compared to those you’ll find in other first-class waterfront resort properties around the globe.
Weather
Cabo San Lucas or simply Los Cabos has a tropical weather with temperatures of around 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit for most of the year. Summers are quite warm, ranging from 90 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Even so, it’s perfect for sun-worshipping tourists and even locals. Summer is also a great time to take advantage of special prices for tourists, like cheap vacation rentals and even cheap airline tickets. Humidity is not at all a problem like it is in other parts of the peninsula. Winter is not too cold to be unbearable, averaging only around 70 degrees. Rainfall each year is low at around 10 inches. If you come from colder countries, it’s wise to leave those thick sweaters or jackets behind as there is definitely no need for them in Los Cabos. You might also want to bring lots of clothing made of cotton to make yourself comfortable while adjusting to the weather.

Healthcare
If you move to Los Cabos, health care cover will come either through an international policy or as a policy purchased from a Mexican insurance provider. There is a wide misconception that healthcare professionals and facilities are not up to par with Western standards. Of course, this is not true. In fact, Los Cabos is fast gaining ground as a medical tourism hotspot where many Americans and Canadians have come for cosmetic, bariatric and orthopaedic surgery for way cheaper costs. All private hospitals in this town also employ English-speaking staff, which is an advantage to non-local patients.
