Top Destinations That People with a Winning Lottery Ticket Would Want to Visit

September 25, 2017 by Jaime

The world is so vast to be explored. If you have got million dollars in cash to spend, there will be no other good reason to think twice about going on an adventurous trip. Exploring the thrill of visiting any of the places which are best known for their beautiful sceneries will be your next task to undertake. There have been a few places that I have wanted to travel, but have been  unable to afford. Or places that I have traveled, but could only spend a day or two because the cities are very expensive. So I made a list of the best places around the world to visit are when you have won lottery:

The North Pole

The Arctic zone is one of the top destinations that you should consider visiting. The place has an amazing site to offer. Witnessing moving Icebergs from the sky, while in a helicopter ride would be the best part of this place. Ice walk will give a ‘never before’ feel. Sailing with animals will make your childhood dreams come alive. Because this is the north most place on earth, don’t forget to bring the proper weather resistant gear. I’m sure if you booked a tour, they would provide you with coats, boots, gloves etc.

The Silk Road

If you are a culture-loving person, book your private train to explore the Silk Road. This is where ancient civilization can be retraced back, so if you’re a history nerd or culture-buff, you would probably love this place too. The Silk Road was ancient trade routes that were originally through regions of Eurasia. It connected the East and West all the way from Korea to Japan.

Zero-Gravity Flight

Winning the lottery has already taken you to the clouds. Take a step further to explore the space. Russian cosmonaut training facility offers an opportunity to participate in Space Walk Training program. You can live out some REAL childhood dreams here, if you’re willing. I will admit that this trip would scare me a bit 🙂

Know what all things, luckiest Powerball winners have done after winning the amount. You could be next lucky winner of the game to hail the amount. Don’t miss out the opportunity to explore the world by simply playing online. Play Powerball on Multilotto.com and win the chance of traveling all around the world.

My first choice of all of these places would be the North Pole or Antarctica possibly. I would choose these because I am paranoid about Global Warming and you never know how much longer they will exist. I would love to see glaciers and iceburgs before they become extinct. The North Pole has been a dream of mine, but the Silk Road would probably be my second choice in places to go see. What about you? If you won the lottery today or had millions of dollars to spend, what would be the top destination you would want to see?

Ultimate Guide to Los Cabos, Mexico

August 18, 2017 by Jaime

Where to stay in Los Cabos

Relocating to another town or city is usually a huge job, but when you’re talking about Cabo San Lucas, excitement always takes over. This town is located on the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula where it used to be a dry, unwelcoming desert terrain. Today, it has transformed into a warm and friendly tropical destination dotted with elite hotels, lovely villas and of course, stretches of sparkling beaches.Whether you’re looking to move here or a short holiday, staying in the Los Cabos villas will make your stay the best it could possibly be. It is perfect for those who are looking for a way to escape the crowded city life. And if you’re planning permanent relocation, there are many things you’ll love to know while preparing for the move.

Housing

Based on the Migration Policy Institute of the United States, there was a 308% increase in the number of Americans in Los Cabos from 1990 to 2000. Today, this has even increased significantly. Housing activities are being undertaken by both local and American developers who are building condominiums, apartments and other housing units all over town. In fact, American real estate companies in particular are developing whole communities as a way to attract US citizens to move or retire here. Notwithstanding their status with immigration, foreigners in general are allowed by law to purchase real estate properties using their own names. Another piece of good news is real estate in Los Cabos is cheaper compared to those you’ll find in other first-class waterfront resort properties around the globe.

Weather

Cabo San Lucas or simply Los Cabos has a tropical weather with temperatures of around 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit for most of the year. Summers are quite warm, ranging from 90 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Even so, it’s perfect for sun-worshipping tourists and even locals. Summer is also a great time to take advantage of special prices for tourists, like cheap vacation rentals and even cheap airline tickets. Humidity is not at all a problem like it is in other parts of the peninsula. Winter is not too cold to be unbearable, averaging only around 70 degrees. Rainfall each year is low at around 10 inches. If you come from colder countries, it’s wise to leave those thick sweaters or jackets behind as there is definitely no need for them in Los Cabos. You might also want to bring lots of clothing made of cotton to make yourself comfortable while adjusting to the weather.

Healthcare

If you move to Los Cabos, health care cover will come either through an international policy or as a policy purchased from a Mexican insurance provider. There is a wide misconception that healthcare professionals and facilities are not up to par with Western standards. Of course, this is not true. In fact, Los Cabos is fast gaining ground as a medical tourism hotspot where many Americans and Canadians have come for cosmetic, bariatric and orthopaedic surgery for way cheaper costs. All private hospitals in this town also employ English-speaking staff, which is an advantage to non-local patients.

Exciting Attractions on your Los Cabos Mexico Vacation

There are many spots in Los Cabos for a family beach vacation, romantic honeymoon or corporate retreat. There are golf resorts that offer stunning 18-hole championship golf courses and beaches as far as the eye can see. You also have the leisure of experiencing adventurous and exciting water sport activities like scuba diving and snorkeling on the beautiful turquoise blue waters.

Ease your mind and relax your spirit by getting a beach massage or reading a book by the water. Most hotels and villas also have pools if you’re not one for sun and sand. Some of the best beaches as recommended by other tourists are Playa Solmar, Medano Beach and Playa SantaMaria. Although beautiful, not all beaches in Los Cabos are swimmable, so be sure to do your research before heading to the water.

Los Cabos Dining

Experience Los Cabos dining at its finest, serving delectable dishes from refined cuisines in an elegant atmosphere. Los Cabos, has evolved magnificently from a fishing village twenty years ago to a leader in resorts that indicates the growth in tourism in the city. That beinag said, fresh fish dishes are not hard to come by.

Mexican cuisine is one of my favorites and there is a variety of traditional dishes that can be found in Los Cabos. Some of my favorite restaurants are La Panga Antigua (menu created by award winning Chef Jacobo Turquie), The Restaurant at Las Ventanas al Paraíso (a swanky restaurant with a view) and lastly, Salsita’s (a more laid back atmosphere).

Other Fun Activities in Los Cabos

A wide range of other fun activities in Los Cabos include excursions, horseback riding, off-roading in the rough and rigid mountain areas and kayaking. You have a plethora of bars and restaurants to choose from that serve the local cuisine with mouthwatering menus. This place is also an important spa destination which is inspired majorly by the nature in the surrounding areas.

Los Cabos is comprised of two major towns: San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Both of these towns paint a contradictory picture of themselves and this in turn offers you a variety in the holiday atmosphere that you have paid for. While Cabo San Lucas is a lively hub that possesses a party atmosphere, San Jose Del Cabo has a more laid-back environment with an historic village having lower density in population and a calmer crowd.

Whether you plan to travel the whole world, a week vacation or a work event, Los Cabos is a favorite spot for tourists. In recent times, on account of the rising demand in being the most favored holiday destination spot the costs of the accommodation and other facilities have become reasonably high.

You need to look through proper channels that would get you discounted travel packages so that the vacation doesn’t end up burning a big hole in your wallets. The internet is the best place to look for attractive travel discounts and avail of offers that goes light on your budget by undertaking advance bookings. You could also travel to the wonderful holiday destination of Los Cabos in the off season of May- November to avoid the huge crowds and have some amount of privacy to yourselves.

Social Emotional Tools for Life

June 16, 2017 by Jaime

Social Emotional Tools for LifeIt’s never too late to improve your lifestyle. While a change in lifestyle is often regarded in terms of health and fitness, it is also used to improve several other aspects. Emotional stability is one of these aspects that is often the most impacted through an improved lifestyle. If you’ve actually sat back and reflected over the years of your existence, there’s always going to be something that will keep you from moving ahead. One of the most important things that should be changed is the point of socializing. No, you shouldn’t stop socializing, it’s actually a very healthy attribute and leads to a stable lifestyle but rather see how you’re doing it. You can begin with Social Emotional Tools for Life that will help you in the present as well as the future.

Social Emotional Tools for Life

Self-improvement is not only about diet – it starts with a change in behavior, attitude and also interaction. Here are some social emotional tools that will greatly impact your life.

Shut Down Social Networks

Look around you, you’re living in a world with limited to no in-person interaction with other human beings. Socializing has turned into an action only done in the digital world, and in the real world, people do not spend as much time with each other as they used to. Shut down your social networks and take advantage of the time you have. Go out and use the tool of interaction to make friends and hang out. Trying to understand someone outside of the digitalized bubble will change your perspective of life.

Observation

Once you start to interact with people, this is something that will prove to be the most effective amongst other social emotional tools for life. Observation isn’t directed only towards the surroundings but instead to yourself as well. Try to observe your emotions and your emotional responses to certain things. It helps to keep track and better your behavior.

Notice Your Physical Self

While noticing your emotional responses would improve your behavior, noticing how you act in front of certain people will help you gain confidence and socialize much better. Try to pay attention to other people as well as how your body is responding to them and try to overcome it. For example, when near an authority figure, you tend to unconsciously become more rigid. Once you work on that, you can gain confidence in improving yourself and making others feel comfortable as well.

Curiosity

Your curiosity for life tends to play a large part in improving yourself. This curiosity can also be infectious and you may find others following in your footsteps. But curiosity is also about getting to know yourself and your behavior in terms of people.

You can even keep a journal to track your progress and remember to not give up. These tools will help you grow and become successful in several areas of life. Remember, it’s never too late to start fresh, you just need to find the motivation for change.

I Want to Travel the Whole World

June 16, 2017 by Jaime

I want to travel the whole world

If you are wondering, “I want to travel the world but I have no idea where to start from”, then you’ve come to the right place. Let’s see how some people are able to travel the world.

Now’s the Right Time

Travel the world no matter how old you are! According to bcg.perspectives, people between ages of 16 and 34 years are more interested in travelling. They top the elders by a 23% margin and every year, billions are spent on tourism. Today, travelling is not that hard because there are so many facilities and conveniences that allow you to take an extended tour around the world in as little as $8,000.

Today, people are more interested in finding out about the cultures of other countries rather than partying. This involves the occasional backpacking trips and living in remote places for the sake of gaining some peace and quiet. In fact, most people prefer living in a hostel as compared to a hotel, probably as it saves a lot of money and lets them experience a new lifestyle with different groups of people.

Understanding Travelling Costs

One of the biggest costs in travelling the world are accommodations. And experienced travelers know how to hack down their costs.

Did you know that nowadays, you can find better accommodation in hostels than hotels? Since the surge in travelling, people are looking for cheap accommodations and are staying in hostels. According to Huffpost, most of the hostels have changed their accommodations to suit the travelers with leisure expectations. These hostels now contain movie theatres, private bathrooms, pools bars and even a spa.

Furthermore, everyone knows about AirBnB. With some research chances are you can find great, affordable accommodations. There are several ways you can save to pay your way through the trip (spending less on luxuries, for starters). After all, it’s an adventure we are looking for and what kind of adventure it will be if we spend it in luxury?

The second cost is the time you have to spare and plan in advance for the whole trip. People who travel the world plan well, and in advance. Months in advance.

Understanding Travelling Opportunities

Some people get to travel the world because they get the opportunity to do so. Traveling is no longer considered a luxury because people are not looking for that adrenaline rush but the experience of meeting new people and living new cultures. Another reason how travelling has become so easy is because more and more people are working in travel agencies or companies that sanction trips a lot. According to a report by Expedia, employees under 30 travel 4.7 times every year on business trips. Planning side trips becomes easier.

Not only does this allow them to save money but also to tour the world in style. According to a survey by Topdeck Travel, the percentage of people concerned with their social media accounts and Wi-Fi has dropped by 10%. In fact, when they are travelling the world, for them, it’s all about the adventure rather than bragging to their friends about the places they are visiting.

Since, I work part time and study at a private college; I have no time to think about travelling. However, with people so easily travelling nowadays and that at the age of 18, I think I am ready now to take the step. It might mean quitting my job and taking a semester break but I want to travel the world and I believe this is the best time. There is no point in just waiting for the golden years of my life because who knows where life might take me at that time.

The great thing about these vacations is that they don’t require much planning; you pack up and go! If you’d like something more luxurious, plan a staycation at one of the top hotels in town! To make a budget-friendly decision regarding the accommodation, check out cozycozy and find the cheapest offers to stay.

How Much Would it Cost to Travel the World

June 16, 2017 by Jaime

How Much Would it Cost to Travel the WorldHave you finally given in to the temptation and have started planning a round-the-world trip? Well, the first thing that you should know is how much the trip would cost and whether or not it would exceed your budget. Most people avoid the thought of it simply because of the fear of money, so here is a little bit of an estimation that you could look at for your expedition around the world.

COST OF A ROUND-THE-WORLD TRIP

An RTW trip is a big decision which simply cannot be made overnight, but if you’ve made up your mind about it, here’s something you should know beforehand.

Factors Effecting The Price

Travelling requires money which means you have to be smart about where you spend and how much. It’s not just the conveyance which costs a lot but many other factors as well, such as:

  • Transport
  • Country
  • Accommodation
  • Food
  • Activities
  • Length of stay

While there are several other aspects, these are the biggest expenses that you’ll have to be dealing with. So to begin your calculation on how much would it cost to travel the world, let’s look at the details of travelling expenses for a year round trip, of course cost for pre-trip preparations are excluded here.

Travel

Traveling or transport not only means the airfare but bus tickets, trains, taxis etc. Since you’d want to save as much money as possible, it would work well if you tried hiking and travelling on foot wherever possible. Regardless, for a year round global tour, your total expense from conveyance would summarize to be approximately 5,520.83 USD. This includes all intra-country transportation as well as the airfare. Keep in mind that the time you choose your travels could also mean a rise or decrease in the plane tickets.

Accommodation

From cheap countries to expensive ones, your price for accommodation will greatly vary everywhere. But in total you’ll have to spend at least 54,750 USD for a year-round trip. This will, of course, vary depending on where you choose to stay.

Food

Food and drinks will cost you on a total of at least 2,820.11 USD if you include snacks as well as three meals a day.

Activities

The total cost for entertainment would include activities like tours, adventures, parties etc. You would have to spend a little over 3,613.18 USD.

Total

Your total cost only through the three aforementioned amenities would turn out to be 66,704.12 USD. This is only the travel, accommodation, food and entertainment.

Other Things To Consider

Other costs would include pre-travel expenses such as visas, travel insurance, vaccines etc. You would also have to pack travel gear and shopping from the place of stay. Other things you also need to remember is that the travel expense could greatly alter according to how long you stay and where.

But in the end, a global venture would do you good in not only changing your lifestyle but also how you perceive everything around you. Saving up for the travel would take years and harsh measurements but in the end, it’s all going to be worth it!
