3 Things To Know Before Going To A Travel Industry Trade Show

August 30, 2021 by Jaime

If you’re planning on going to a travel industry trade show as an attendee, this could be a great way for you to get a lot of information about places you’re wanting to visit or activities you’re wanting to try.

Participants to this show spend a lot of time and money unloading their materials at their booth so that they can give you the information you need to make the right choices for your future travel plans. But if you don’t take care of a few things for yourself before coming, you might end up just wasting your time and money without any future payoff.

To help ensure that this doesn’t happen to you, here are three things to know before going to a travel industry trade show.

Do Some Research Before You Go

Before the day of the travel industry trade show that you’re attending, you should spend some time doing a good amount of research.

Not only should you research what booths or offerings are going to be available to you at the trade show, but you should also research which of these places might be of interest to you. Because there are often hundreds of booths at these events, it can be hard to just walk through each one and get all the information you want. So to make the most of your time, try to see where locations or activities at the trade show will be of most interest to you so you can better focus your time and attention.

Know Where You Want To Go And What You Want Out Of Those Trips

While a lot of the research you could do about a travel destination or activity can be completed online, there’s so much more that can be gleaned by speaking to someone who has experience in that area or can help answer some of the specific questions you have.

To make the most of this, you’ll want to know exactly where you want to go and what you want to do so that you can talk to the people at the trade show that will be able to give you the best insights. Then, once you get to these booths, have some specific questions ready or guidance that you’re wanting that will help make planning your travels much easier for you.

Don’t Solely Come To Win Something

One of the great things about these travel industry trade shows is that many of the vendors offer some kind of contest or giveaway where you can get free gear or experiences. And while winning one of these things can be nice, you should plan on going to the trade show for more than just the hope of winning something. So come with expectations to get some great information and have your interest sparked in addition to taking the chance of winning something fun.

If you’re a travel industry trade show happening in your area soon, consider using the tips mentioned above to help you make the most of your time at this event.

Clear blue water and white sandy beaches offer a postcard vista and as you would expect, there are shady areas where you can sit back and drink your favourite cocktail. The Reasons Why Water Brings Out The Best In Us All

August 25, 2021 by Jaime

Have you ever wondered to yourself why it is that when we get any time off at all, we immediately load up the car with the kids and we head off to the nearest beach. For some inexplicable reason we are drawn to the ocean and any time the sun peaks out from behind the clouds, we are off making our way to the closest place that has a large body of water. Scientists say that we ourselves came from the ocean a long time ago and that is why we are drawn to it even today. The fact that we know that there are things in there they can bite us and can sting us doesn’t seem to make any difference at all and when we are going on vacation, we always make sure that there is a swimming pool available or that we can get a room beside the ocean.

Being able to book a hotel room or a villa close to or near the beach is great, but now some establishments have gone one better. It is now possible to be able to book water villas in the Maldives that are actually built out over the ocean and clear blue waters are right at your doorstep. You’re not going to get any closer to the ocean than this and you still have all the modern conveniences that we all want when we go on vacation to relax. There is something about the ocean that we love and it might be because of all the benefits that it offers. The following are just some of those.

* Reduction in stress levels – Nobody can quite explain it, but when we go to the ocean our stress levels immediately begin to fall. It might be the fresh sea air or it might just be the sound of the waves sweeping of the beach. Whatever it is, we love it and we will do anything that we can to experience it. And acting having a villa that is built out into the ocean and you can actually see fish swimming in the water from the comfort of your villa through the floor. Imagine being able to fish off your front porch and to be able to go for a swim and then walked up the steps of your villa to enjoy some fresh fruit and an ice cold beverage. It’s all possible nowadays and this is great news for everyone. You might want to host a party or event in your villa for new friends.

* A chance to exercise – If you have booked a villa that is right on the ocean and it seems a shame that you don’t experience some of the many water sports that are currently available to you. You can go snorkeling or scuba diving and this will allow you to see the beautiful fish and the corals the right beneath your feet. Going on vacation is about relaxation of relaxation can also fall a little bit of exercise is good for your heart and good for your stress levels. To learn more about the various accommodation options, please have a look here.

Maybe it’s time that you started to experience something new and being able to stay in a holiday villa that has the waves from the ocean lapping on your doorstep, is something that everyone should consider at least once in a lifetime.

Cool Things to Do in Singapore

August 18, 2021 by Jaime

If you are planning a long tour of South East Asia that includes Singapore, you have come to the right place, as we offer a few great ideas on how to spend your time in this unique sovereign island city state. Located almost on the equator in the far south on the Malay peninsula, Singapore consists of one main island, with more than 60 sub-islands and is the second most densely populated places on the planet. There’s something for everyone in this tropical paradise, whether an urban or rural lifestyle and with that in mind, here are a few cool things to do during your stay in sunny Singapore.

  • Visit Pulau Ubin – This tiny island offers a unique glimpse into the past, as the local families (around 50) live a life void of anything modern. The name translates to ‘Granite Island’ as this was a granite quarry right up to 1970, when it was closed down. The locals live in wooden huts and the best way to see the island is to rent a bicycle from one of the kiosks at Pulau Ubin jetty, where you arrive on the Changi Point Ferry.
  • Haw Par Villa – Here you will find art like nowhere else in the world, this 8-acre outdoor park was founded in the 1930s by the founder of Tiger Balm, Aw Boon Haw, a well-known philanthropist, who commissioned more than 1,000 pieces of traditional Chinese art. More than a little bizarre are features such as The Ten Courts of Hell, which is a collection of chambers that depict the torture and suffering that a spirit might experience in the dark corners of Hell. Not for the squeamish, but a must-see for the adventurer and admirer of easter art.
  • Sentosa Island – If you are thinking of renting a boat in Singapore in order to explore the many attractive islands and bays, Sentosa would definitely be one place to visit. Sentosa is an island resort which is home to Universal Studios Singapore and the S.E.A. Aquarium, which is well worth a visit. Why not play a round at one of the two premier golf courses at Sentosa Golf Club? Or perhaps try ziplining at the Mega Adventure Park (kids love this place). At just over 1,200 acres, this island is small but there’s a lot crammed in to this small area; if you rent a boat, you can travel round the island and moor at a jetty, while getting around on the island can be done with beach tram or bus. If you are a travelling business owner, click here.
  • The Southern Ridges – A must-see stretch of forest and jungle, there is a 6-mile trail so do bring your sports shoes and you can enjoy pristine views, as the trail interconnects 5 separate parks. A must for all you nature lovers, this nature trail is probably the best in the world in terms of a manicured, pristine look. The highlight has to be the Henderson Waves, a timber deck that is suspended at a height of 256ft, which offers amazing views that warrant taking some photos.

Of course, a lot depends on how much time you have and renting a boat is without doubt the best way to see the many sights in Singapore.
